Q: What's the best way to burn Chilipepper gel candles?

A: Follow burning instructions and your candle will burn longer without unsightly sooting or black floaters in the candle. Place the candle on a protected, heat-resistant, dry surface, away from anything that can catch on fire & out of reach of children & pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep candles out of drafts to ensure an even burn & to prevent smoking. Extinguish all candles with a candle snuffer. Any candle container may become hot. Do not pick up while hot. We only use safety wicks, discontinue use when a nominal amount of gel remains in container. After gel cools completed, just pull it out with your fingers! Wash container with soap and water to reuse.

Chilipepper Tip: The best way to trim the wick is to make sure candle is completely cooled, then turn upside down over the trash & snip the wick. This way you can clip the wick close to the gel & remove it all at once without dropping flammable debris back into the candle.

Q: Yikes! I left my gel candle in the box sideways - what do I do now?!!

A: Don't worry, gel moves. If the candle has been placed sideways, just sit it upright, in a warm sunny area & it will slowly go back into place.
